Frequently Asked Questions

  • It's my first time to take the exam. What course should I enrol in?

Enrol in an All Skills Course. Click here for options.

  • Do I need to pass all 4 skills in one sitting?

For most professions,  as of July 1 2015, if you are applying to work in Australia you can combine 2 tests within a 6 month period and as long as achieve a B grade in each skill overall with no sub-score below C, it will be  accepted . However, each profession has its own set of rules and it also depends on which region you plan to work in, ie Australia, New Zealand or Singapore.  Please refer to the AHPRA website  for the latest information

  • I have achieved B in 3 skills already and only need to pass one more skill. Do you offer courses for single skills?

Definitely. OET Online has Writing  only courses, Speaking  only courses, Reading only courses and Listening only courses so you can focus on individual skill areas . See below for further details.

We have 2 main options available.

  • How many writing tasks do I need to submit and do to reach the level required?

If you have taken OET before and received a C grade, or have done IELTS and got a 6.5, then 3 to 5 tasks is often enough to reach the level required. If you have taken OET before and got a D grade or have an IELTS of 6 then you will probably need 6~12 tasks plus serious study to reach the level required.
