FAQ

It's my first time to take the exam. What course should I enrol in?
You should enrol in an All Skills Course to ensure you are exam ready for each of the sub-skills tested. We have course options ranging from our one month intensive Turbo up to our top of the range Ultimate Course with access until you pass. Click on your profession via the front page for details.

How long can I access the course?
Our courses have a range of different access periods from 1 month to unlimited access. All OET Online courses are available 24/7 so can study any time night or day at your own pace. Courses can be completed within 2 or 3 weeks with intense study if you have an upcoming exam or spread out over a longer period until your planned exam date. Select your course based on the amount of private skill-building tutorials, writing corrections, along with reading and listening practice tests you require.

Are your teachers experienced?
As health professionals taking a high stakes exam, you deserve the best! That is why we only employ teachers with the highest qualifications and experience, all of whom are native English speakers with OET Knowledge badge endorsements, dedicated to helping you achieve your goals.

I am not confident with my English skills. Can I still join a course?
Absolutely. The only requirement is that you are a health professional and the OET Online teaching team is happy to help all overseas health professionals achieve their goals regardless of level. Our courses are very detailed and designed not only to help you pass the exam, but also to build your English language skills, and particular your medical English communication skills.

I live overseas. Can I still access the LIVE lectures from my country?
Yes definitely as we have two LIVE lectures per day, Monday - Friday at times suitable for all regions. In addition, all lectures are recorded for later viewing if you can't attend LIVE. All you need is a computer or device and internet connection for 24/7 access.

I have achieved B in 3 skills already and only need to pass one more skill. Do you offer courses for single skills?
Definitely. OET Online has Writing only courses, Speaking only courses, Reading only courses and Listening only courses so you can focus on individual skill areas.

Do I need to pass all 4 skills in one sitting?
The rules vary depending on profession and the region you are applying for. Please check the necessary regulatory body for your target region to get the latest information.

Can I try before I buy?
Yes, you can self enrol in our FREE Taster Course which is the perfect way to experience OET Online learning.

What currency are your course fees listed in?
All course fees are listed in US Dollars, click here to view these prices in your currency.

Are the class times suitable to my location?
We have a great timetable that is designed to fit your location and schedule. We offer two LIVE classes a day, to maximise your opportunity of attending LIVE classes. However, we understand that with work and lifestyle commitments, you may not be always able to attend the live class. That is why we offer RECORDED VIDEO so you will never miss a class.

What if I can't access Zoom in my location, can I still study with OET Online?
There are various ways to overcome the ban of services such as Zoom. Many users choose to use a Virtual Private Network or VPN for short. A good VPN service will

  • Keep your online activity private
  • Unblock restricted websites and apps
  • Encrypt your connection for safer data transfers

How can the All Skills courses help me?
Our All Skills courses provide the perfect combination for exam success featuring:

  • Twice daily LIVE Interactive Lectures with Recorded VIDEO
  • Personalised Teacher Support including: Private skill-building tutorials in your chosen skill to focus on for highly personalised feedback
  • Detailed writing corrections feedback and grades
  • Exam-Quality Practice Tests and Skill-building Worksheets and Quizzes

All courses in the All Skills range include access to the twice-daily LIVE lectures. However, the level of private teacher support and amount course access increases as you scale up the course options. Therefore, we recommend you choose your course based on the level of teacher support (private tutorials and writing corrections) and amount of Reading & Listening practice tests you require.

For instance, if you simply require a short-term review in All Skills, we recommend enrolling in the Turbo or Economy course. If you require a more comprehensive package with increased private skill-building tutorials & writing corrections, whether you have a short-term or long-term exam plan, we recommend the Standard, Platinum, or Ultimate course.

If this is your first time taking OET and you’re unsure of your needs, we recommend starting with the Standard course. This will give you a good amount of private tutorials, writing corrections and practice tests to gauge your skill level and allow you to scale your course by upgrading according to your needs.

What are the differences between the All Skills and the All Skills Plus+ courses?
Both our All Skills and All Skills Plus+ course options cover LIVE lecture and practice material in all OET sub-skills. However, the All Skills Plus+ range includes comprehensive teacher support, through personalised 1-to-1 private tutorials with an expert OET tutor in your areas of need. A perfect option to ensure exam success!

Can I upgrade between courses?
Yes, our courses are designed to be upgradable. This means you can start with the Turbo, then upgrade to the Economy, Standard, Platinum or Ultimate course by paying the price difference between the courses, plus a minimal US$15 upgrade fee. This will allow for a longer access period and extra resources to meet your needs.
